Juliette Foster is a broadcast journalist and writer who has just penned her first novel, Breaking News.

Set in a fictitious television newsroom, Breaking News tells the story of an ambitious TV presenter who stops at absolutely nothing to get her own way – including murder! But there’s more to this story than the behind the scenes skullduggery and fights over screen time. It’s also a look at celebrity culture and how it has turned life’s everyday rules on their head.

Juliette is currently developing a sequel which she promises will be just as sizzling as its predecessor. When she’s not writing she likes to read, (her favourite novelists are Rose Tremain, Elmore Leonard, Charles Dickens and Leo Tolstoy), and when she’s not reading she likes to keep fit, although this is sometimes easier said than done.

Currently Lady Mayoress of Surrey Heath, Juliette and her husband John are supporting a number of local charities this year. However one that remains very close to their hearts is the Lisa May Foundation founded in remembrance of their daughter Lisa, who died in the Boxing Day Tsunami. The charity which helps victims of natural disasters has so far raised more than £50,000 helping local people in Thailand, victims of Burma’s cyclone Nargis and the Haitian earthquake.
